Former bodybuilder Zef Eisenberg (pictured, right) crashed and broke his pelvis and was airlifted to hospital from the adrenaline-fueled Straightliners Top Speed event at Elvington airfield in North Yorkshire today (left).
He was riding a £350,000 turbine bike (inset) - the fastest of its kind in the world - built by the Madmax team he funded with cash from the £162million sale of his sports supplement company Maximuscle in 2011.
Competing in the omega class, the thrill-seeking businessman came off the high-powered machine - which has a helicopter engine - during his timed track run at around 2pm.
Children in Dorada in Colombia ran from hippos owned by the former estate of drug lord Pablo Escobar as they emerged from a river while they played.
The hippos, pictued left in one of the rivers, are left behind from the smuggled zoo of Escobar, inset, who was killed in 1993.
